Understand That It Is A Rebuke
Usually, people say that a prophet has no potency in his father’s land. They are happy to say it. Thereby, they deceive themselves.
What people do say is different from what Jesus said. What Jesus said was a rebuke, a point of correction intended for people to understand the importance of a prophet. If foreigners honoured a prophet, then his own native people suppose to honour him more. How can you fail to understand the glorious works of God in your midst everyday? When those from afar, who have seen once are happy and glorifying God?
Instead of understanding the importance of a prophet and obeying God’s word, people make that flimsy excuse, “a prophet has no effect in his father’s land.” How can people say that a prophet has no effect in his father’s land? Is it not in his father’s land that a prophet stays to attend to people of different nations? Didn’t his power and efficiency start in his father’s land before foreigners heard and came to him?
Today, hear this from me.
The prophet of God is precious.
Let every family give gift to the man of God in there midst.
Also, let every group welcome the minister of God in their midst with gifts.
And let every nation give gifts to the men of God among them.
